Our second activity around the locality saw plans for a Spring planting refresh at the Marylebone Flyover Rain Gardens, London’s largest sustainable urban drainage system. The rain gardens help to prevent localised flooding while also making the area more attractive. The YuMe volunteers helped plant a range of new flowering plants and further prepare the site for Summer, adding colour, life and nature to the urban streets. The plant species have been curated to support pollinating insects when in season and can thrive in local climate and soil conditions.
